Hiking tours

From St. Magdalena (Talschluss Hut: 1,465 metres; large car park and possibility to stop for a meal); turn right, cross the valley stream and following marking # 12 through the Pfoi Valley up to the upper-timber line; straight on towards the Pfoialm (2,134 metres); through the Alpine valley on a good track, with a further ascent until you reach a partition on the path; follow marking # 13, steeply up to the Hintere Gsies Lenke (2,539 metres, also called ‘Inner Schartl’); walk down to the lake (2,455 metres). The tour is suitable for those who have some mountain hiking experience. Descent: the same route (approximately 2 hours) or alternatively part of the way on one of the two following trails.
