The Gsies valley sightseeing path – easy hiking trip along the natural theme path
As the name indicates, this path gives you impressive views, not only at one particular point, but from many across the Gsies Valley, part of beautiful South Tyrol. The Gsies valley-sighseeing path is a flat hiking route, evenly marked with white markings and well signposted. The route runs along the entire Gsies Valley on a slightly elevated level. Partly along the old valley road, partly on farmhouse access roads and other paths, it runs from Welsberg/Taisten on one side of the valley to St. Magdalena at the end of the valley and back on the opposite side. The route it suitable for old and young alike and leads you through fragrant South Tyrolean forests, blooming Dolomite meadows, passing typical Gsies farmhouses and beautiful villages and hamlets. This interesting path runs past many landmarks and shows the valley’s beautiful cultural and natural landscape away from the main road. It is recommended to walk only sections of the path as the entire length is too extensive, combining them with a number of circular hiking tours such as Welsberg, Taisten, Pichl, St. Martin, St. Magdalena or starting/finishing at some other points along the way. If you use a hiking map, please follow the instructions given. If you want to enjoy your hiking holiday in South Tyrol to the full, don’t miss out on the great views from any part of this natural theme path.
