Shopping in Bruneck – Brunico

Brunico’s historical Via Centrale-Stadtgasse is among the loveliest shopping streets in all of South Tyrol-Südtirol.
Colourful and lively there are a host of fabulous shops, cafés and boutiques. Shop windows juxtapose the youthful and trendy next to the traditional and venerable, the delicious next to the beautiful, the useful next to the luxurious.
Cafés put their homemade pastries on display in their cases and small bars serve canapés along with an aperitif – ideal for those who prefer to sit back and people watch while their companions do the strolling, looking and trying.
This small medieval city at the foot of its own local mountain, the Plan de Corones-Kronplatz, is the heart and soul of the valley. Its first impression is colorful and full of life. Val Pusteria delicacies and traditional handicraft is to be found here, as is the lovely pedestrianized zone with its boutiques and cafés. The famous Brunico Castle looks down from its hilltop upon the hustle and bustle.
Meanwhile, the Plan de Corones-Kronplatz, South Tyrol-Südtirol’s number one ski mountain, towers above everything. A mecca for winter sports enthusiasts during the wintertime, in the summer it becomes a staging area for downhill mountain bikers, paragliders, hikers, and families.
