Colorful alpine flowers, juicy colorful alpine meadows, gigantic Dolomite rocks and the rustic refuges - a paradise in the mountains. Hut owners will spoil you with culinary and traditional dishes. Discover nature in the middle of the majestic Dolomite mountains, which offer unforgettable impressions in any season.
One of our open secret tips is the hike to the Schwarzsee (Black Lake).

To the Schwarzsee (Black Lake)

Starting at the end of the village Santa Maddalena, follow the signpost 12, continuing upwards through the Pfoital valley until you get to the edge of the forest. If you keep going straight ahead, you’ll reach the Pfoialm mountain pasture (2,134m up). Continue uphill following signpost 13, and take the steep incline to 2,539m. From here, you’ll walk downhill again, reaching the lake (2,455m) in just a few minutes.
