The Kronplatz region has a lot of castles and fortresses, but also churches, chapels, and museum.

The magnificent Welsperg Castle above Welsberg is the only castle in the Upper Puster Valley open to visitors.

Taufers Castle takes you straight back to the Middle Ages.

The farm museum "Voadohuibn" in St. Magdalena Gsies provides insights into a bygone life of the South Tyrolean people.
The Folklore Museum in Teodone-Dietenheim also manages to have its visitors imagine themselves living in a different way. This is where history comes to life.

The Church of St. George in Taisten, a little church between Romanesque and Gothic, is one of the oldest churches in the Puster Valley.
The open-air museum Monte Piano, the scene of the First World War, is a worthwhile excursion destination above Lake Misurina and shows trenches, tunnels and mountain galleries.
Feeding the spirit and soul
The MMM Ripa is housed in Brunico Castle. The famous mountain climber Reinhold Messner shows how the most important mountain cultures of the world live.
The MMM Corones - one of the six Messner Mountain Museums of the alpinis Reinhold Messner was built on the top of Mount Kronplatz, on 2,275 m.

LUMEN museum, located at the summit of the Kronplatz is dedicated to mountain photography.
