4° Gsieser mountain run

The fourth edition!

Mountain runs are becoming increasingly popular, and the bandwidth ranges from fun runs to extreme sporting challenges. So also in our Gsieser Valley we celebrate the second Gsieser mountain run!
This mountain run has everything should provide a race:
A great track with a length of 12.4 kilometers and 1,070 meters of altitude, breathtaking panorama on the Dolomites and numerous pastures along the route.

The second edition takes place on 14th of September 2019 at 9.00 am, starting from the "Talschluss hut" at the end of the Gsiesertal valley in your own in the categories Women & Men. The winning times will be 1 hours and 30 minutes.

Details about the route:
The start will take place in St. Magdalena at the Talschlusshütte (1465m). The first stage takes the runners on the way 48 to the Tscharnied Alm (1976 m), from there turn right directly to the highest point, the Kalksteinjöchl (2349 m). From then it goes downhill on the way to the summit 48A Alm (2104 m), continue on the way 2000 on the Stumpf Alm (1968 m), followed by the Kaser Alm (2076 m) and Pfoi Alm (2040 m) up the Uwald Alm (2042 m).
Prerequisites are a good physical condition, surefootedness and a sense of direction.

After the race you can taste the culinary highlights on the Uwald Alm and with the "Weibo Kirschta" on this refuge is waiting another great event with typical musical entertainment.

Tips for spectators: On the same day will take place the so-called "Weibo Kirsta" on the Uwald Alm. An event, like a summer festival with great musical entertainment. After the start of the race, you can reach this Uwald Alm in good 1 hour. The finish of the first mountain runner can be followed so close.
